Jason Bellamy is the owner of Builder Buddy LLC, a home inspection and education company based out of Asheville, North Carolina. Builder Buddy’s mission is to help people buy, sell or maintain their homes by providing inspections, testing and educational content.

Jason has a degree in architecture from the University of Washington in Seattle and worked in architecture and planning/development firms as a Draftsman and Junior Architect in Seattle, San Francisco, and New York City (and the surrounding buroughs). Jason participated in the renovation of historic civic buildings like the Grand Central Post Office in NYC and in large development projects like the 158 acre Rivermark Community in SF South Bay.

In 1999, Jason Bellamy became a licensed General Contractor and started his own Design & Build Company designing, building and renovating houses.  Jason renovated and built additions on some homes that were built in the 1700s!

Jason became a Licensed Home Inspector and started Builder Buddy LLC in 2016 as a single owner/operator. The company currently has 3 home inspectors and an office manager and offers home inspections, commercial inspections, radon testing, well/septic inspections, water testing, mold testing and more.

With his broad experience in residential design, construction, historical renovation, and real estate inspections/testing Jason has a unique perspective and passion for helping people buy, sell, or maintain their homes.

Jason was incredibly detailed and thorough. He took his time to go over my questions and even sent me a follow up email to check in on everything. I would highly recommend Builder Buddy if you need a home inspector.
